Never Been Kissed is Drew's first time as an executive producer. I think she did a fine job(I really have no idea what executive producers really do), as anyone can see from watching Never Been Kissed. Although she comes from along line of actors/actresses, I think it is her ability to not seem like a movie star that is one of most appealing about watching her on film. The most appealing thing is her upbeat attitude. She has the personality that anyone can admire. I love the picture for the movie and the movie's slogan, "Some things are worth the wait." Sure the movie is corny and contrived but, I think those are the key ingredients to making an enjoyable movie. Sure the plot of sending a twenty-four year old to high school to "get a the scoop" is unplausible, but trying telling that to an audience sitting on the edge of their seats during the ballpark scene. I love to go to movies that everything works out in the end and everyone lives happily ever after. I know there are some of you out there that disagree, you grew up watching GI Joe hoping that you would see some one actually die. No one ever dies in GI Joe and I hope no one ever does in a romantic comedy. The soundtrack is pretty good. Capitol did a fine job of assembling artists for the album. Everything from John Lennon to Semisonic to R.E.M., it is a good mix to listen to. |
